ABOUT

Jax Recovery Homes

Jax Recovery Homes may be new to Jacksonville, but our experience is well established. Our leadership previously operated TROHN-certified recovery residences in Texas and brings more than 2½ years of experience. Our Florida recovery residences are not currently FARR-certified. Certification will be pursued for each eligible residence after opening. Our administrator holds a current Florida Certified Recovery Residence Administrator credential.

Jax Recovery Homes provides a structured, supportive environment designed to help residents build confidence, strengthen independence, and pursue meaningful, stable lives in recovery. Our approach is guided by Christian values of compassion, dignity, service, and hope, while remaining inclusive of individuals from all faiths and backgrounds. Participation in religious activities is entirely voluntary.

Located in safe, peaceful neighborhoods, our homes offer convenient access to counseling services, recovery meetings, employment opportunities, gyms, shopping, and other essential resources. Here, residents are not defined by their past—they are valued for their potential and encouraged to build a healthier, more hopeful future.

About the Founder
my business picture

Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee, a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA), is the founder of Shalom House Foundation, Inc., the nonprofit organization operating Jax Recovery Homes in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine areas. She brings together professional experience in healthcare, housing management, and nonprofit leadership to provide safe, structured, and dignified recovery housing.

Before moving the organization to the Jacksonville area, the leadership team oversaw the operation of recovery residences for men and women in the Houston area under the name of Katy Recovery Homes. Through that experience, the leadership team developed a resident-centered housing model built on safety, structure, accountability, community, and hope. Many residents were able to maintain sobriety, rebuild their careers, strengthen family relationships, pursue education, and successfully transition toward independent living.

The leadership team of Jax Recovery Homes is committed to following recognized recovery-residence standards, maintaining consistent operating procedures, and providing residents with clean, comfortable homes in safe communities. The leadership team continues to pursue specialized recovery-housing education and professional development to ensure that the organization grows without sacrificing the quality of housing and resident support, accountability, or personal attention provided in each home. The team's vision is to develop Jax Recovery Homes into a trusted, sustainable recovery-housing organization known for both compassion and operational excellence.
