1. Who lives onsite?
Each residence is gender-specific, and a qualified, same-gender house manager or designated residential staff member lives on site.
2. Are residents screened?
Yes, we interview and screen each resident.
3. What happens if someone relapses?
We distinguish between a lapse and a more significant return to use. If substance use occurs, we assess the situation individually and determine whether the resident can safely remain in the home or would benefit from a higher level of care, consistent with residence policy and the orientation process.
4. What happens during an overdose?
The house manager or designated staff member will call 911, administer naloxone when appropriate, and remain with the resident until emergency responders arrive.
5. Is naloxone available?
Naloxone is available in designated locations throughout each residence.
6. Are visitors allowed?
Approved family members and scheduled professional visitors may enter designated common areas in accordance with residence policy.
7. Can parents communicate with management?
Yes, with the resident's consent.
8. Can residents have vehicles?
Yes.
9. How many residents share a bathroom?
Bathroom arrangements vary by residence and room assignment. Some bathrooms may be shared by two residents, while others may serve up to four residents. Specific arrangements will be explained before admission.
10. Are bedrooms shared?
Most bedrooms are shared by two residents. Private rooms may be available for an additional fee.
11. Are meals provided?
Meal provisions vary by residence. Some homes may provide simple dinners and basic breakfast items.
12. How long can residents stay?
Residents may remain while they continue meeting the residence’s standards and participating in their recovery.
13. Can children stay with a parent?
No, we are currently not set up to accommodate residents with children.
14. Am I allowed to have an overnight guest in my room?
Overnight guests are not permitted.
15. Can I have my girlfriend or boyfriend visit me in the house?
Visitors must receive prior approval and follow the residence’s visitor policy.
16. How much does recovery housing cost and what is included?
A one-time $300 nonrefundable administrative fee applies. Weekly or monthly housing fees vary by residence and room type and will be explained before admission. Housing typically includes utilities, Wi-Fi, household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, dish soap, and toilet paper. A gym membership may also be included when available near the residence.
