Our initial Florida residences are dedicated to adults recovering from substance-use disorders. Any future specialized programs for veterans, reentry, or domestic-violence survivors will be separately described and appropriately screened.
Our goal is to make the referral process clear, responsive, and respectful—for both the referring professional and the individual seeking housing.

The Referral Process
1. Submit a Referral
Complete the brief professional referral form. Please do not submit a Social Security number, identification document, or detailed treatment records through this initial form.
2. Initial Review
Our admissions team reviews basic eligibility, anticipated move-in date, financial arrangements, and current bed availability.
3. Applicant Screening
We speak directly with the prospective resident to discuss expectations, motivation, medication considerations, recovery goals, and suitability for shared recovery housing.
4. Placement Decision
When the applicant and residence appear to be a good match, we explain the move-in requirements, fees, resident standards, and anticipated admission date.
5. Coordinated Transition
With the resident’s proper written authorization, we can coordinate appropriate transition information with the referring professional.

How quickly will someone respond?
Our goal is to respond to professional referrals within 24 hours. Urgent referrals should also be followed by a telephone call to admissions at (904) 788-1772.
Do you provide treatment?
No. Jax Recovery Homes provides structured recovery housing and peer accountability. Residents may continue receiving clinical, medical, psychiatric, or recovery services from outside providers.
Do you accept residents using prescribed recovery medications?
Jax Recovery Homes supports legally prescribed medications including methadone, naltrexone, and buprenorphine. Admission decisions are based on the resident’s overall suitability for shared recovery housing, medication safety, and applicable legal requirements—not solely on the use of prescribed recovery medication. All prescribed medications must be stored securely in an approved lockbox. Residents are responsible for taking their own medications as directed by their prescribing provider. House managers may conduct documented medication counts in accordance with residence policy.
Can a treatment center tour the homes?
Yes. We welcome scheduled visits from treatment professionals, case managers, agency representatives, and other qualified referral partners.
Do you communicate with the referring provider?
With proper written authorization from the resident, we can coordinate appropriate housing-related information with referring professionals. The extent and frequency of communication should be discussed during admission.

What does the resident need for admission?
