House Rules

Welcome To Jax Recovery Homes!

These rules are not meant to control you. They are designed to build the discipline, accountability, and healthy habits that support lasting recovery. Every resident is expected to understand and consistently follow these standards. The rules below are part of the full Resident Agreement you will review and sign.

A.  DRUGS & ALCOHOL POLICY:

NO DRUG USE OR ALCOHOL USE – INCLUDING MARIJUANA.

This is a recovery housing program. Absolutely no drugs (other than prescribed medication) or alcohol is allowed. Serious violations may result in immediate termination of residency when necessary to protect resident or community safety, consistent with the Resident Agreement and applicable requirements.

​1. Residents may not use or possess alcohol, illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, or medications that have not been prescribed to them.

2. Residents may not provide, distribute, sell, or otherwise supply drugs or alcohol to another resident. Any involvement in dealing or distributing drugs is strictly prohibited. 

3. Each new resident will have a baseline urine drug test (UA) upon arrival. Random urine drug testing may be conducted for individual residents or, when appropriate, for all residents of the home. A positive test result will be addressed in accordance with the residence’s relapse policy, Resident Agreement, and applicable requirements.

B.  SMOKING

​Do not smoke in your room or anywhere in the house. Smoking is only allowed in a designated outdoor area. 

C. HOUSE CARE

1. HOUSE CHORES: House chores will be shared. Each tenant is responsible for cleaning up after themselves and for participating in communal chores as assigned.

2. PROPERTY DAMAGE: Residents may be held financially responsible for intentional property damage. Serious or repeated property damage may result in termination of residency in accordance with the Resident Agreement.

3. CARS: If you own a vehicle, it must be operable, properly registered and insured, and free from significant leaks or other safety concerns.

4. Any shared computer, printer, or other equipment provided by the residence must remain in its designated common area.

D. PERSONAL POSSESSIONS

1. Residents are not allowed to possess guns, knives, or other weapons in the house.

2. If you borrow or lend personal items, you do so at your own risk. Residents are responsible for their own security and the security of their possessions. Residents storing personal belongings in common areas store them at their own risk.

3. Theft is grounds for termination of residency. 

E. REASONS FOR TERMINATION OF RESIDENCY

The following serious violations may result in immediate termination of residency when necessary to protect resident or community safety.

​1. Possession of guns, knives, or other weapons. 

2. Physical violence, verbal threats, or intimidation made by you or your approved guests. 

3. Sharing an entry code or allowing unauthorized access to the residence. 

4. Use or possession of alcohol, drugs, medications not prescribed to you, or drug paraphernalia. 

5. Dealing drugs on or off the property. 

6. Possession of stolen goods or any theft. 

7. Repeated violations of house rules. 

8. Damaging the house intentionally. 

9. Soliciting money from other residents.
